Calcium Citrate
- Essential for nerve, cell, muscle, and bone function.
- Prevents bone weakness by maintaining adequate calcium levels.

Calcitriol (Vitamin D3 active form)

✔️ Dosage & Administration
Adults: 1–4 tablets daily, with or without food.
Dose to be adjusted according to clinical need or physician’s advice.
⚠️ Do not exceed the prescribed dose.

- Reduced absorption of tetracyclines, quinolones, and bisphosphonates with calcium.
- Corticosteroids may reduce calcium absorption.
- Thiazide diuretics → risk of hypercalcemia & alkalosis.
- Cardiac glycosides → calcium may enhance effects, risk of toxicity.
- Erlotinib efficacy is reduced with calcium.
- Paricalcitol → increased risk of hypercalcemia.
- Enzyme-inducing antiepileptics → increase vitamin D metabolism, lowering effect.
- Concurrent use with aluminum products in renal failure → risk of fatal encephalopathy due to high aluminum levels.
